Locating the scanned barcodes on the Motorolla CS3000 and CS3070

1. Remove the plastic case at the base of the scanner that is hiding the plug.
2. Plug the cord into the scanner, then into the USB slot on your computer.

On a Mac

In the Finder, select "New Finder Window"

You will locate the USB mounted drive under "Devices" and will be called something like "CS3070"

Click on it, then double click to open the "Scanned Barcodes" folder.
Double click the "BARCODE.TXT" file to open the file.

In the above example you can see how the data is formatted. there is one line for each scan that includes a date, time, device id and barcode. Each is separated by a comma.

It's very important to test your scanner occasionally to confirm it has the correct date and time.

In this case you can see we did some scanning on 10-07-12, at 1:19 PM.

The last thing you will need to do is to safely eject the disk from your computer.

Now it safe to remove from the scanner from the computer.
